When it makes sense

  • Dust back on the vents within days
  • Visible mold or a musty smell
  • After a remodel or construction
  • Moving into a house with history

We don’t sell cleanings you don’t need. If the ducts are fine, we say so.

How often should ducts be cleaned?

Not on a fixed schedule. When there’s visible dust, mold, an odor, after a remodel, or moving into a new home.

Do you upsell cleanings?

No. If we look and the ducts are clean, we tell you and you don’t pay for a cleaning you don’t need.

Do you hold a NADCA certification?

We do honest duct cleaning; we don’t claim a certification we don’t hold. Ask and we’ll tell you exactly what we do.

South Florida air already carries more than its share of humidity, pollen, and sea salt. The inside of an uncleaned duct system adds to that load — years of dust, the occasional patch of mold, and whatever a remodel left behind. A proper cleaning clears the pathway so your system moves air the way it was designed to.

Exactly what’s included

  • A visual inspection of accessible duct sections and registers before we touch anything — so you know what's actually in there
  • Negative-pressure containment: a high-powered vacuum sealed to the main trunk holds suction while we agitate the branches — debris comes out, none goes back into the living space
  • Rotary brush or compressed-air agitation through each branch, supply and return, to dislodge what's caked on the duct walls
  • Register and grille removal, cleaning, and reinstall — every vent cover that comes off goes back on snug
  • Air handler cabinet and blower wheel wipe-down — the motor housing is where mold spores love to settle, right next to the evaporator coil
  • An honest after-cleaning report: what we found, what we cleared, and whether anything — a mold patch, a gap, a crushed flex section — needs a follow-up repair

How the visit goes, step by step

  1. 1
Inspection first — we look before we commit

We pull registers, shine a light, and tell you what's in the system. If it's clean ductwork in a two-year-old home, we'll say so. If there's a mold colony behind a return grille, you'll see it on video before we quote a price.

  2. 2
Seal, connect, and pull negative pressure

A collection unit attaches to the main trunk and seals the return side. This is the step that separates a proper cleaning from someone blowing dust around with an air compressor — nothing escapes into your home during the process.

  3. 3
Agitate every branch, supply and return

Working from the far registers inward, we loosen what's on the walls and the vacuum pulls it out. Each register gets hand-cleaned before it goes back. Post-remodel jobs get extra passes — drywall dust packs tight and holds the texture of the original wall.

  4. 4
Air handler, walk-through, and findings report

We clean the cabinet and blower wheel while the vacuum is still running, then walk you through what we found. Mold in the ducts points to a moisture problem — often a sweating coil or an oversized AC that short-cycles — and we'll name it plainly rather than just cleaning and leaving.

Real South Florida examples

The kind of situations we handle every week.

Coral Gables home, musty smell every time the AC kicks on

The smell followed the owners from their old house — it turned out to be the ductwork, not the house itself. A return grille near the laundry room had drawn lint and moisture for years. Cleaning the ducts and sealing a gap where condensation had been dripping cleared it completely.

Pembroke Pines office suite, post-remodel air quality complaints

The contractor left the vents open during demo and drywall. Fine white dust had coated every duct branch. Staff were getting headaches and the filter was clogging every two weeks. One thorough cleaning and a switch to a proper MERV-8 filter schedule fixed both.

Boca Raton seasonal home, system unused for eight months

Standing air in a closed-up South Florida home for most of the year is an open invitation to mold. The ducts weren't black, but a fine grey film had settled across every supply register and the blower wheel was coated. After cleaning, the startup smell — that first-run mustiness every seasonal owner knows — was gone.

What drives the price (and why)

  • System size — the number of vents, returns, and linear feet of ductwork in the home or building
  • What's in the ducts: general household dust cleans faster than post-remodel debris, mold, or compacted insulation fragments
  • Access — attic ducts in a tight crawl space take more time than exposed runs in a mechanical room
  • Whether the air handler cabinet and coil need cleaning too, or just the duct network itself
